CIC Julius Malema addresses the Press Club of South Africa

Staff Writer

Valentine’s Day 2020 saw the Commander-in-Chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Julius Malema, address the Press Club of South Africa.  The breakfast meeting took place a day after Cyril Ramaphosa, gave his second State of the Nation Address (SONA) as President of South Africa.  The event was somewhat disrupted by the spectacle of Mr Malema and his red coveralled cadre, who in their inimitable way, made their political point known.

However, it was an articulate and engaging Julius Malema, who addressed the Press Club of South Africa the following day.  In conversation with Business Report’s Political Editor, Mr Malema provided deep insights into a number of issues facing the country, along with a few lighter moments that had the packed venue laughing in appreciation.  To see what Julius Malema had to say, click here.

In the debate on media transformation, it is important to break down media to its founding purpose, which is transparency, and media as the Fourth Estate in society.
